Project Engineer (Entry Level)

About the role

Garver is seeking an Entry-Level Project Engineer to join our established Water team in the Oklahoma City metro area. The Project Engineer will work under a Project Manager on a multi-discipline design team, focusing on the production of design phase deliverables including reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans, sections, details, and specifications. This role involves close collaboration with clients to exceed their service expectations and performing engineering calculations and detailed design for projects such as:

• Water distribution and wastewater collection, including pumping and storage
• Sewer distribution and collection, pumping, and lifts
• Water and wastewater treatment plants
• Improvements and retrofitting of existing treatment facilities

Responsibilities

• Produce design phase deliverables such as reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans, sections, details, and specifications
• Perform engineering calculations and detailed design for water and wastewater projects
• Collaborate closely with clients to ensure their expectations are exceeded
• Work within a multi-discipline team led by a Project Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or biological/biosystems engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Registered as an Engineer In Training (EIT) or able to obtain in the next 6 months
• Strong communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook

Preferred Skills

• 0-1 years of internship experience related to design of water/wastewater systems
• Master’s degree in civil, environmental, or biological/biosystems engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Experience with Microstation, WaterCAD, or SewerCAD
• Experience in process modeling software, such as Hydromantis GPS-X or BioWin
