About the Role

We’re seeking a Project Engineer ready to be on the front lines of a project—giving daily support to the field, project management, and customer teams. Our Project Engineers (PE) are vital in keeping our processes moving along and assist in the execution of project plans. This position primarily involves working on-site at the project location or in office. Travel frequency and duration will vary depending on the role and project timeline.

This role will be responsible for specific activities such as coordinating material onsite delivery dates, maintaining RFI, submittals, and change order logs, and will serve as a key point of contact for internal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Act as key point of contact with internal customers for specific scopes of work.
  • Participates with Project Management on the execution of estimating activities including project bids and change orders.
  • Contributes to effective job start meetings and team meetings.
  • Supports the team by coordinating material onsite delivery dates with the project schedule.
  • Partners with CEI safety professionals to identify hazards and document.
  • Maintains complete and accurate RFI, submittal and change order logs.
  • Maintains an organized filing system and structure.
  • Maintains current drawing log and distributes new information to team members and subcontractors.
  • Maintains close out log. Requests relevant documentation and submits to customer.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar preferred.
  • Zero (0) years of construction or related experience required. Two (2) years of construction or related experience preferred.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Pay

Salary Range: $55,500 to $72,000. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
