Project Engineer-Electrical PE (MEP)

About the role

We are seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer (PE) to join our Buildings, Energy and Infrastructure (BEI) Group in Columbus, OH. In this role, you will provide technical and design services for power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm design projects as part of a multi-discipline team. You will produce electrical design and construction drawings, as well as specifications for institutional, commercial, municipal, and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Interact and work directly with clients.
• Conduct preliminary evaluations and prepare various reports.
• Produce design drawings and prepare technical specifications.
• Prepare permit submittals for electrical engineering projects.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring completion within allocated time and budget.
• Perform arc flash analysis and coordination studies using SKM software.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Four (4+) years of experience in Electrical Engineering or a related occupation.
• Project experience with arc flash analysis and coordination studies using SKM software.
• Proficiency with drafting and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SKM.
• OH PE registration or ability to quickly obtain through reciprocity.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.

Qualifications
