About the role
The Project Engineer – Electrical Department supports the Project Manager in overseeing the entire lifecycle of electrical and electro-instrumental plant projects, from cost estimation through design, construction, commissioning, and final documentation.
Direct reports: 2–5 same-function peers; cross-functional collaborators: 2–5; external suppliers: 5–20.
Responsibilities
- Estimation support (30%)
- Conduct site surveys at client locations.
- Prepare technical-economic proposals using spreadsheets and standard templates.
- Project management support (30%)
- Analyze technical content of orders and offers; plan engineering, procurement, and site activities.
- Coordinate with clients and identify cost-effective suppliers and technical solutions.
- Manage turnkey projects, including oversight of specialized subcontractors.
- Design (30%)
- Draft technical specifications and size equipment in compliance with current regulations.
- Develop detailed engineering for electrical and electro-instrumental systems.
- Maintenance planning support (10%)
Requirements
- 2D AutoCAD proficiency.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical and electro-instrumental materials and equipment.
- Ability to independently design:
- Lighting and power distribution systems.
- Low-current systems (smoke/gas detection, home automation, security).
- Data networks and small electro-instrumental systems for process and HVAC.
- Ability to size power and control switchboards, including selection of components.
- Familiarity with key Italian and European electrotechnical standards.
- Understanding of planning and execution principles for electrical installations.
Qualifications
- Technical high-school diploma (electrotechnics, automation, mechatronics).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Professional engineering license (esame di stato) is a plus.

Schedule
Full-time, daytime schedule with occasional overtime during peak workloads.
