Responsibilities
- Design new products from the ground up with minimal or no product history.
- Perform all aspects of design including planning, modeling, part selection, defining analysis plans, test plans, validating processes, conducting failure analyses, creating drawings, conducting manufacturability reviews, and managing product launches.
- Conduct product research and define details of new products or product improvements.
- Manage design records and oversee prototype builds, product testing, and evaluated tested products.
- Create and manage Engineering Change Notices.
- Prepare manuals and assist Marketing with sales documentation.
- Lead the Attachment Engineering team and collaborate with other cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- A combination of 5-8 years of relevant experience in product design and manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking applied to new product design.
- Able to work independently and contribute as a team member within Engineering and other cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication and project management skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Creo experience is preferred.
- A degree in mechanical engineering or related experience.
