Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee the design and development of civil/site engineering plans, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility infrastructure, roadway improvements, and erosion and sediment control measures
- Perform and review engineering calculations related to site design, stormwater management, hydrology, hydraulics, and utility systems
- Prepare construction documents, technical specifications, engineering reports, and permit applications
- Coverage project design efforts with project managers, clients, architects, municipalities, and other engineering disciplines
- Support and participate in meetings with clients, municipal agencies, planning boards, and regulatory authorities
- Aid in project scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design staff
- Conduct site visits and construction observations to evaluate project progress and address field conditions
- Ensure project designs comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, permitting requirements, and engineering standards
- Aid in preparing responses to agency review comments and securing project approvals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of New Jersey required
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil/site engineering and land development design
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D required
- Strong understanding of New Jersey land development regulations, permitting processes, and agency requirements
- Experience preparing site plans, grading plans, utility plans, and stormwater management reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary consulting engineering environment preferred
- Familiarity with municipal, commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional land development projects

- Compensation Range: $90,000 to $115,000
