About the Role
Tract is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to support large-scale civil infrastructure projects, focusing on master-planned data center parks. The role involves collaborating with cities, counties, and internal teams to ensure responsible development, maximizing community benefits while minimizing environmental impact. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial/industrial land development and a passion for the data center industry.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of projects, including site layout, grading, road design, stormwater management, and utility layouts.
- Manage construction process tasks, such as safety reporting, submittals, RFIs, change orders, design reviews, permitting, and general project support.
- Coordinate internal alignment on project document reviews, cost optimization, contract issuances, and design modifications.
- Assist in reviewing monthly invoices, preparing financial updates, and managing project forecasts.
- Maintain internal project file storage and administer project closeout requirements.
- Perform constructability reviews during the due diligence phase and work with contractors on quality and safety plans.
- Prepare requests for proposals and associated contract issuances.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Coordinate with Authorities Having Jurisdiction to obtain necessary permits.
- Manage contract scope, schedule, and budget for design consultants and contractors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent engineering science, OR 5+ years of related construction management experience.
- 3+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience on large projects, including RFP, bidding, change orders, quality control, and RFI/submittal tracking.
- 1+ years of experience managing large-scale civil infrastructure projects, including site development, grading, drainage, and utilities.
- Proficiency in P6, MS Suite, Bluebeam, Autodesk, and other construction management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in data center construction.
- Strong knowledge of engineering and construction practices for major site utilities infrastructure (electrical, water, fiber, etc.).

Pay
Expected salary range: $100,000–$120,000 plus bonus.
