Project Engineer
Location: Folsom, CA
About the role
We’re looking for a construction-focused Project Engineer who supports project execution through strong coordination, documentation, and communication on our Lakeport project full-time. This role plays a key part in managing RFIs, submittals, and project information while helping ensure alignment with contract requirements, schedule, budget, and quality standards. You’ll partner closely with superintendents, project managers, and trade partners to keep projects organized and running efficiently.
We’re seeking doers who take ownership of their responsibilities, stay proactive, and help drive progress across the project team. Strong candidates are detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working with tools like Bluebeam, scheduling software, and Excel, with a commitment to accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
- Ensure alignment with contract requirements, schedule, budget, and quality standards
- Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, and trade partners
- Maintain project organization and efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering (or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience)
- Valid driver’s license may be required; subject to annual Motor Vehicle Records check
Qualifications
- Less than a year of related experience (internship experience preferred)
- Working knowledge of construction methods, equipment, drawings, specifications, and applicable building standards
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to take initiative, communicate effectively, and work across teams with minimal oversight
- Highly organized, motivated, with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Able to multitask, build relationships, and foster collaboration and consensus
Skills
- Proficiency with tools like Bluebeam, scheduling software, and Excel
- Commitment to accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
Pay
Anticipated salary range: $70,000.00–$90,000.00 annually. This reflects the base salary based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary by location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
