Position Summary
The position will support the Onsite Project Manager and field crews by performing the following duties which will differ according to project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safety program, processes, and safety culture is adhered to on projects.
- Submittal and RFI writing.
- Federal contracting experience a big plus.
- Project scheduling.
- Tracking and reporting of field production, cost estimates and invoices.
- QC Program documentation.
- Subcontractor management.
- Quantity take-offs and pricing.
- Procure materials.
- Managing field employees.
- Must be available for overnight travel.
Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 1-5 years of experience as a Field Project Engineer in heavy civil construction.
- Proficient in MS Project Excel and Word.
- Heavy Bid and Heavy Job preferred.
- Prior experience with Primavera and AutoCad desirable.
- Strong written communications skills.
- Problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
- Positive communications skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs.
- Walk on uneven surfaces.
- Conduct pre-bid and project field visits.
