PROJECT ENGINEER
About the role
As a Project Engineer at Snyder Langston, you will work on exciting projects across various market sectors in Orange and Los Angeles Counties. You will contribute to building a culture of being a Trusted Advisor while leading talented teams dedicated to excellence and integrity. Your role will involve shaping the company’s future by developing innovative processes and LEAN techniques. You will ensure the administrative and technical aspects of assigned projects align with contract documents, creating value by executing duties accurately and proactively addressing potential obstacles.
Responsibilities
- Develop, input, and update project schedules as directed, and assist with project estimates and budgets.
- Verify that the technical aspects of the project are executed as required.
- Facilitate and expedite project administrative and technical work through submittal control, document distribution, maintenance of the Change Order Request (COR) Log, and project schedule updates (including construction progress and procurement status of long-lead items).
- Assist the Project Manager with CORs, sub-trade bidding, bid evaluation, writing subcontractor commitments, and cost-report maintenance.
- Review, maintain, and create schedules, budgets, and reports to manage project details and ensure on-time, under-budget completion.
- Aid in project close-out, including assembling manuals and warranties for turnover to the owner and preparing final payment documents for subcontractors.
Requirements
- Ability to work in Orange and Los Angeles Counties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business Management, or a related field (2 years of Project Engineer-related experience preferred but not mandatory).
