Responsibilities
- Support the project team and ensure client satisfaction.
- Aid in gathering information for estimates, reviewing proposal specifications, drawings, takeoff information, and contracting.
- Provide technical assistance, interpret drawings, recommend construction methods and equipment, and manage change orders.
- Initiate and maintain extra work estimating, prepare monthly project status reports, forecast cost projections, and track project progress.
- Lead pre-construction teams as a team leader, offering guidance, direction, and leadership.
- Maintain project files in a neat and organized manner.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as issuing Owner and Subcontract agreements, scheduling, managing change orders, preparing shop drawings, handling RFI’s, and managing daily correspondence.
- Prepare necessary and required closeout project documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.
- Industry Intern/Coop experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods), including craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, estimating, schedules, and safety.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Maintain a valid Driver's License in good standing.
