Project Engineer
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee subcontractor agreements, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Aid in the preparation and processing of change orders while maintaining clear communication between all parties involved.
- Maintain accurate job cost reporting and analysis, providing reports and insights to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Develop and maintain detailed work plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans to optimize project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct regular meetings with trades and stakeholders to review progress, address issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Ensure all work adheres to quality standards and safety policies through regular inspections and audits.
- Lead and support construction crews and subcontractors to ensure successful execution of design plans.
- Supervise construction activities on-site, making real-time decisions to address challenges and keep projects on schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Obtained a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred but not required.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with crews, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Goal-oriented with the ability to set, pursue, and achieve project goals while maintaining high performance standards.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and scheduling software. Experience with roadway construction, traffic control, or heavy civil construction technologies is a plus.

On-Site Supervision
Supervise construction activities on-site, making real-time decisions to address challenges and keep projects on schedule.
Travel Opportunities
While this role is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, some projects may require temporary travel assignments of up to 6 months or longer depending on project needs.
