Project Engineer

About the role

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Project Manager and Superintendent on a variety of earthwork and general civil construction projects.
• Monitor and track production quantities and project costs; report progress and variances to the Project Manager.
• Conduct quality control throughout job site processes.
• Maintain project schedules by tracking progress, coordinating activities, and proactively addressing issues.
• Coordinate subcontractor schedules and oversee quality of work to ensure compliance with project standards.
• Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, and making recommendations based on findings.
• Assist with a broad range of project management responsibilities across earthwork, demolition, and civil construction projects.

Qualifications

• Relevant construction experience; coursework or background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively in challenging or fast-paced environments.
• Maintains a positive and professional attitude.
• Proven reliability, including initiative and consistent follow-through on responsibilities.
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Travel will be required for this position.
