Project Engineer

Safety-sensitive position.

About the role

Provides design specifications and suggested layouts to maximize drying, milling, and packaging efficiencies within established quality control standards. Monitors process flow to ensure continuing efficiency and oversees the implementation of process improvements within project scope and budget parameters.

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical, Agricultural, or Biological Engineering from a 4-year accredited university or 10 years of management experience in grain dryer or grain processes related field.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Willing and able to travel as needed (most travel is within a 150-mile radius of the main office).
• Willing and able to bend, stoop, twist, turn, push, pull, and crawl throughout the day.
• Willing and able to ride man-lifts.
• Willing and able to climb to and work at heights up to 200 feet.
• Willing and able to work in hot and cold temperatures for long periods of time.
• At least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle.
• Willing and able to wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Willing and able to follow all safety and food safety rules.
• Other duties as requested by supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge and use of Microsoft programs, spreadsheets, databases, and scheduling programs.
• Familiarity with current drafting software or willingness to learn drafting software as needed.
