Project Engineer

About the Role

Qualified candidates will have strong communication and IT skills, leadership potential and at least some prior experience managing challenging projects.

Responsibilities

• Review and process submittals and shop drawings till approved.
• Perform field review of assigned work in place for conformance to the contract document.
• Learn and participate in document control platform.
• Administrative support duties include: Physical/digital project document control for Job Set-up including Project Surveys & Permits, Specifications, Drawings, Submittals, RFI's (Logs) through Close-Out docs.
• Administrative document control for monthly construction reports (photos & narrative).
• Change Orders – tracking/distribution.
• Required Safety Submittals, OSHA documents.
• 'Delivery Schedule', Logistics etc.
• QA/QC Logs.
• Punch List.
• Assistance for tracking Foreman's/Project Meeting Minutes.
• Assistance with Schedule Updates.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; preferably engineering, architecture or project management or 2 Year Associates Degree.
• Technical or Trade School a plus.
• Military; preferably Technical/Construction/Logistics background/ Leadership experience.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with computer applications.

Skills

• Proficiency in Bluebeam.
• Awareness of Microsoft Project.
• Awareness of P6.

Pay & Schedule

• Salary Range: $90,000 to 110,000
• Location: Santa Cruz
• Required Experience: 2+ years
