Project Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

• Acquire knowledge base and skills through mentoring and self-directed learning.
• Prepare engineering calculations, design elements, basic drafting and technical analyses under supervision.
• Aid in the preparation of plans, specifications, reports, and other project documentation.
• Utilize basic CAD drafting skills (Civil 3D preferred) and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Apply established design methods, applicable codes, standards, and procedures.
• Support the team in estimating task completion times and proactively communicate delays.
• Conduct work in accordance with company standards, safety policies, and ethical guidelines.
• Seek guidance and mentorship from senior engineers and apply feedback for performance improvement.
• Perform additional duties as directed to meet project and company objectives.
• Maintain professionalism, safety, and compliance with company standards.
• Determine appropriate sources for guidance on modified techniques and new approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Basic CAD drafting experience: (Civil 3D preferred).
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification (preferred).
