Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects and engineers throughout all phases of construction, including pre-construction and design.
- Assist in developing project budgets, timelines, and procurement plans.
- Review and manage design documents for constructability and distribution to clients and subcontractors.
- Assist with developing and maintaining the project schedule, including monthly updates and progress tracking.
- Process change orders and manage scope changes between the client, subcontractors, and designers.
- Assist in securing vendors and subcontractors.
- Monitor costs and assist with budget management.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Coordinate with the owner and security officers for base access and ensure proper clearance.
- Support and oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure alignment with plans and specifications.
- Assist in monitoring worksite safety and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials and services.
- Document and coordinate meetings, tracking actions and decisions.
- Manage submittals and RFIs.
- Support QC inspections and ensure project quality standards are maintained.
Requirements
- Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management related degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent competency achieved through relevant work experience.
- Work experience as a Construction Project Engineer or Project Manager.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer literacy.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and Procore.
- Willing to travel and relocate near the project location in Death Valley National Park, CA.
- Ability to obtain an Employer-Sponsored U.S. Government Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
