Project Engineer

About the role
We are seeking a motivated and confident Project Engineer to assist in managing project activities and supporting team performance on large-scale projects. This role will focus on building foundational expertise in safety, quality, cost control, personal development, workforce coordination, and client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Manage Project Documentation: Ensure all project documentation (RFIs, contract documents, progress reports, etc.) are accurate and up to date at all times.
- Be Responsible for Personal Development: Seek personal development through training and jobsite learning opportunities. Enhance the project team through relationship development and personal contributions.
- Support Project Procurement: Manage submittals and purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of project materials and equipment.
- Support change order preparation and tracking. Support the project manager by identifying cost impacts and assisting with take-off and material quote procurement for review and submission to the client.
- Promote PCE Safety Culture: Promote safety on the jobsite by following all PCE safety guidelines, participating in safety observations, reporting unsafe behaviors when onsite, and managing site-specific safety documentation.
- Support Project Commissioning: Support the punch list process and assemble turnover documents.
- Utilize the latest technological tools and identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of the project team and overall project outcomes.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Valuable work or internship experience a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Microsoft Access, Bluebeam Revu, and CAD/BIM software is a plus.
- Willingness to travel and/or relocate as needed to support local and national projects.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
