Project Engineer

About the role

The Project Engineer will assist and support the Project Managers (PMs) and other key personnel within the organization with tasks such as bidding, scheduling, contracts, billing and collection, among others.

Responsibilities

• Assists the PMs with all duties, including but not limited to: Safety Software and applications (HCSS, financials, scheduling, etc.), Take-offs, Bidding Building (grading, paving, milling, subcontractors), Scheduling Equipment use, Contracts and negotiation, Billing and collection, Specifications
• Begins to gain knowledge of mix designs, plants, and aggregate sites (manufacturing)
• Understands the details of company operations
• Ensures that daily, weekly, and monthly tasks are addressed in a timely manner
• Spend time with Operations, PMs, Scheduling, and some exposure to Manufacturing and Technical Services
• Attends project meetings (pre-construction, pre-pave, scheduling, etc.)
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, vocational training, certification from an accredited organization, or combination of schooling and relevant work experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication, consulting, conflict management, and interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
