Project Engineer

What You Will Contribute To OHM Advisors

OHM Advisors is seeking a Project Engineer to support and lead the delivery of site development and municipal infrastructure projects in our Huntsville office.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of site development and municipal infrastructure projects, including grading, utilities, stormwater management, and roadway improvements.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and permitting requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across OHM Advisors to support successful project delivery.
• Interact with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination efforts.
• Aid in the preparation of construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on technical excellence and continued growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Alabama, or ability to obtain Alabama licensure within 6 months.
• 10+ years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on site development and/or municipal infrastructure.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiarity with Alabama permitting processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers.
• Interest in contributing to the continued growth of OHM Advisors’ presence in Huntsville, Mobile, and surrounding regions.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional travel required.
