What You Will Contribute To OHM Advisors

OHM Advisors’ Environmental & Water Resource Group (EWRG) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in drinking water distribution and treatment systems to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Project engineering, design, planning, operational support with a focus on the process engineering aspects of water treatment and drinking water projects.
  • Prepare engineering designs, prepare reports, develop plans, prepare specifications, and prepare cost estimates for water projects.
  • Adhere to budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards.
  • Prepare technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables; perform data entry and analysis.
  • Aid in the construction management phase on water projects including site visits, submittal reviews, and regular interaction with contractors.
  • Aid in equipment startup, controls coordination, and system testing.
  • Perform operational analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Supervise or coordinate the work of staff engineers, drafters, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments.
  • Aid in training of new graduate engineers and interns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required in one or more of the following states: Michigan, Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, or Ohio.
  • Experience includes water treatment facilities, water transmission/distribution projects, water storage, groundwater wells, and master planning.
  • 8-12 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on water distribution and treatment systems.
  • Experience in planning, design and construction of water treatment facilities.
  • Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative technique.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam for design and submittal markup.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and other relevant design software.
  • Experience with project management principles and practices.
  • Experience with wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment is a plus, but not a requirement.
