Project Engineer

About the role

The Senior Capital Project Engineer will plan, support, and execute engineering deliverables for core technology or engineering areas. This role involves developing and applying engineering standards and procedures, providing expert advice on engineering issues, and handling complex problems with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and estimate time and cost for construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems, and components.
• Analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment, systems, or component failures.
• Coordinate staffing and develop construction, commissioning, and start-up plans.
• Lead equipment specification and procurement processes.
• Develop, review, and award bid packages for equipment and labor.
• Informally lead, mentor, and coach early-career engineers through hands-on training and project work.
• Manage multimillion-dollar budgets.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field (required).

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of related work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to execute large capital projects or a portfolio of projects.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing (preferred).
