Project Engineer

Primary Objective

To manage all aspects of assigned projects from point of sale to customer acceptance in an effective manner to maximize corporate profits, technical reputation and position of MTS within the marketplace (generally including substantial custom mechanical, electrical and software designs).

Major Areas of Accountability

• Serves as the overall project manager and is responsible for all parameters of project performance (cost, technical performance, schedule, and customer satisfaction) and all the phases from pre-sales support, order confirmation, project definition, manufacturing process to project closure.
• Establishes reliable sold-cost estimate.
• Plans, coordinates, and effectively monitors and controls project progress.
• Directs the system checkout and performance testing and performance measures.
• Create and deliver formal technical presentations to both external customers and internal management related to job function, program status, or future technical direction.
• Maintains a working knowledge of applicable MTS product line.
• Proposes and manages R&D programs where applicable. (apply to senior levels)
• Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

General Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Ability to travel up to 25%, domestic and international.

Compensation Information

$75,000 - $125,000 Annual Salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
