m2e Consulting Engineers is a full-service engineering consultancy based in South and Central Florida. Responsibilities

  • Plans and oversees multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Leads a team of project engineers, consultants, and technicians, making decisions independently.
  • Supervises the implementation of design, preparation of construction plans, design improvements, specifications, and timetables.
  • Oversees the acquisition of field data.
  • Develops and recommends standard operating procedures and performance standards.
  • Maintains oversight of field operations to ensure standard operating procedures and performance standards are met.
  • Reviews project documentation and reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Handles requests for information, service, or complaints, or makes referrals to appropriate staff.
  • Ensures compliance with safety, engineering, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Conducts swing stage inspections and field visits to assess structural conditions and gather project data.
  • Acts as the Engineer of Record (EOR) and prepares signed and sealed (S&S) letters, technical reports, repair protocols, and restoration project documentation.

Requirements

  • Professional Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field, or documented combination of education and experience. Active Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Experience: 4+ years of pre-or-post degree work experience involving construction, design, inspection, or estimating and budgeting. 4+ years of forensic engineering experience.
  • Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and strong presentation skills.

Qualifications

  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, lay, crawl, twist, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate controls or levers.
  • Safety Equipment: Must wear safety gear including hard hat, OSHA-approved footwear, safety glasses, and safety vest.

Skills and Abilities

  • English proficiency: Fluent in speaking, reading, understanding, interpreting content, and writing.
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledgeable in all technical areas of design, construction, and management.
  • Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in dealing with manpower and budgets.
  • Problem Solving: Creative problem-solving abilities.
