Project Engineer

About the role

Harvest Solar is a Michigan-based company founded in 2010 that provides comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction solutions for solar energy. We serve over 11 states across the Midwest and offer full-service installations backed by a 30-year warranty.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement solar energy solutions for various clients
• Manage project teams from conception to completion
• Collaborate with clients to understand their energy needs and provide tailored solutions
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Oversee the procurement and installation of solar equipment
• Provide technical support and guidance to field staff
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure project quality
• Prepare and submit project documentation and reports
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in solar technology

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in solar energy or related field
• Strong knowledge of solar panel systems, inverters, and associated technologies
• Experience with project management software and tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of solar industry certifications such as NABCEP or PVWatts
• Experience with project budgeting and cost estimation
• Ability to travel as needed to project sites
