Project Engineer
About the role
This is a position that plays an important role in our construction projects. Project Engineers assist through all life-cycles of a project by supporting and learning from Project Managers. They work on multiple different construction projects at a time, playing a key role in ensuring quality work is performed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Reports to: Project Manager
Responsibilities
- Assist the project leader and superintendent with project budgeting, bidding, buyouts, certifications of occupancies, and project accounting
- Manage submittals, RFIs, closeouts, as-builts, and shop drawings
- Ensure equipment and material arrive at the jobsite per schedule
- Complete procurement log and submittals in a timely manner
- Utilize Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects, and Outlook
- Follow Graham Core Process, including jobsite checklists
- Maintain great relationships with owners/clients, architects, trade partners, and other industry representatives
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related degree (preferred), associate’s degree in construction management, or equivalent field experience
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass post-offer employment testing and drug test
- Must be able to navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather
- Must be able to work in a noisy environment
- Ability to work within Graham Construction’s operational regions, as assigned
- Ability to take and pass OSHA 30 certification
