Project Engineer
Giffels Webster has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer in our Oakland County office, working on high-profile land development projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life in southeast Michigan. The ideal candidate will work independently on various engineering projects and assist a wide variety of clients, including architects, developers, property owners, and real estate professionals.
Responsibilities
- Site plan layout
- Geometrics
- Grading
- Pavement design
- Soil erosion and sediment control
- Utility (storm, sanitary, and water) design
- Stormwater management and green infrastructure design
- Traffic control plans
- Details
- Record drawings and specifications
- Prepare permit applications and cost estimates
- Attend meetings
- Conduct field visits
- Perform construction administration tasks
Requirements
- Civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university or equivalent applicable experience
- Experience in AutoCAD software
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of civil engineering experience
- Experience in Civil3D
- Experience with road, storm, sanitary, and water design
- Experience in Bluebeam
- Exposure to municipal and/or private development projects

Schedule
In-person collaboration and mentoring are paramount. With experience and supervisor approval, you may earn a hybrid schedule of up to two days per week remotely and three days in the office.
