About the role
The Project Engineer will support the delivery of a ground-up, large-scale data center project in West Texas. This role is ideal for early career construction professionals seeking hands-on experience in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage project controls and document management using platforms like MS Project, Autodesk (BIM 360), and CMiC
- Coordinate site activities, including subcontractor logistics, sequencing, and material deliveries
- Participate in planning and coordination meetings with internal teams and trade partners
- Aid in identifying and resolving design and construction conflicts in real time
- Support QA/QC processes, including inspections, testing coordination, and verification tracking
- Track and process submittals from approval through procurement and installation
- Assist in enforcing jobsite safety standards and protocols
- Support change management processes, including pricing and documentation (ASI, PR, CCD, etc.)
- Coordinate and document OAC and subcontractor meetings
- Assist with project closeout, including turnover documentation and as-built drawings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience supporting mission critical, data center, advanced manufacturing, or similarly complex projects
- Familiarity with construction technology platforms such as CMiC, PlanGrid, BIM 360, Assemble, or similar systems
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt in a highly technical, schedule-driven construction environment
- Prior experience working in field-based roles on large, ground-up builds
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to projects with high MEP coordination, commissioning requirements, or critical uptime considerations

Project Location & Travel
The project is located in West Texas, about 90 minutes outside of the Midland–Odessa region. Midland–Odessa International Air & Space Port (MAF) serves as the primary airport hub for project travel. Relocation, per diem, housing, and travel support are available for qualifying candidates. Travel home may be taken every two weeks and will be reimbursed, with up to two flights covered. This is a 2–5 year, project-based assignment with long-term stability and continuity.

- Combination of standing, walking, and sitting throughout the workday
- Frequent use of hands for computer and document management tasks
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Capable of bending, kneeling, crouching, and working in a construction environment
- Adequate vision, hearing, and communication ability for both office and field settings
