Job Summary

Flinco Project Engineers assist the Project Manager and Superintendent by performing delegated administrative and technical work assignments. They maintain accurate and organized project documentation, update project logs and databases, and assist in writing/reviewing subcontracts and purchase orders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Manager in writing/reviewing subcontracts and purchase orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and become familiar with Project participants to facilitate productive operations.
  • Represent the company in project meetings as needed.
  • Aid in determining submittal requirements and prepare/submittal logs.
  • Expedite materials/equipment from pre-approval to final delivery to meet project schedule.
  • Develop and maintain the overall project schedule and short-term schedules.
  • Make regular site visits to monitor project progress and quality.
  • Disseminate correspondence, directives, and information between stakeholders.
  • Maintain project files and documentation, including transmittals, submittals, letters, etc.
  • Track subcontractor/Supplier and company self-performed work to justify billing.
  • Obtain necessary permits and document records in a timely manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in construction management or construction trades.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, technology, and project management.
  • Ability to maintain, inform, and communicate with the construction team.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to seek assistance when necessary.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, algebra, and computer applications.
  • Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • May be exposed to moving mechanical parts, moving machinery, high precarious places, close tight quarters, rough and sloped terrain, fumes or airborne particles, drilling and blasting activities, welding activities, toxic or caustic chemicals, potential falling rock, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, vibration, and noise.
