About the role
Fisk Electric, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their office in Houston, Texas (Telecommunications Division).
Responsibilities
- Provide technical engineering information to a Project Manager to ensure project compliance with plans, codes, specifications and design instructions.
- Aid in evaluations and solutions of potential field problems, referring them to Project Management.
- Perform all essential functions and responsibilities in alignment with Fisk’s policies.
- Assist with development of startup checklist and site logistics plan.
- Aid in the development of quality control plan and continue Customer Interface.
- Monitor permit processes and prepare closeout log.
- Participate in owner training and document training sessions.
- Compile as-built drawings.
- Administer Request for Information (RFI) process.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- At least two years of experience working for an electrical subcontractor.
- Knowledge of Project Specification Sections Division 27 and 28 and BISCI.
- Working knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, and building materials.
- Ability to perform trigonometric calculations, either manually or with a calculator.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
