What We Are Looking For
- Internship, co-op experience, or exposure to real-world construction, field engineering, estimating, or project management
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when needed
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Basic understanding of construction processes, building systems, and project coordination
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook with the ability to learn construction management and scheduling software
What You’ll Do
- Support Project Management: Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, document control, and project communication to keep work organized and moving forward.
- Contribute to Scheduling & Coordination: Help develop, update, and distribute project schedules while supporting short-term planning, meetings, and coordination with field teams and subcontractors.
- Aid in Procurement & Contracts: Support subcontract preparation, bidding activities, procurement tracking, and contract documentation while learning compliance requirements.
- Participate in Preconstruction: Gain exposure to estimating, quantity takeoffs, bid package preparation, constructability reviews, and subcontractor outreach.
- Assist in Field Operations: Assist Superintendents with safety initiatives, material coordination, cost tracking, productivity reporting, and quality control processes.
- Develop Financial Awareness: Assist with cost tracking, invoice coding, change order support, and monthly reporting while building a foundational understanding of project financials.
- Build Leadership & Communication Skills: Work collaboratively with project teams, clients, architects, and trade partners while developing strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
