About the role
We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team. As a member of our team, you will operate in a schedule-driven, collaborative environment, interfacing with the client and supporting Project Managers on projects up to $20MM TIC.
Responsibilities
- Promote and comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements; actively support a zero-incident culture.
- Apply Eichleay project delivery processes, procedures, and quality standards across all phases of work.
- Carefully coordinate and integrate activities across engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, internal teams, and overseas engineering partners to support clear communication and timely decision-making.
- Lead and support internal and external meetings, including preparation of agendas, documentation of meeting minutes, and tracking of action items and decisions.
- Support development of project deliverables, including scopes of work, decision support packages, cost estimates, schedules, and work orders.
- Maintain project performance by supporting cost, schedule, forecasting, and change management activities.
- Identify emerging technical or execution issues and coordinate with project teams to implement corrective actions.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge management systems.
- Utilize project management tools (e.g., Unanet) to support budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and project setup.
- Aid with project closeout, including documentation, reporting, and turnover requirements.
Requirements
- Accredited four-year Bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical field from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of five (5) years related experience with one (1) year of project management / project engineering experience.
- Location: Must live within 50 miles of Salt Lake City, UT.
- Skills: Basic understanding of project execution phases and capital project delivery; working knowledge of project controls, including scheduling, planning, forecasting, estimating, and cost management; strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities; effective written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented with strong follow-through; ability to work collaboratively in a client-facing, onsite environment; understanding of the phase-gate work process for project funding.
Qualifications
- Education: Accredited four-year Bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical field from an accredited university or equivalent experience.

Pay
$110,000 – 140,000 *anticipated annual salary may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications and internal peer equity.
