Project Engineer

About the role

Join Dome Construction as a Project Engineer and bridge the gap between the field and the office, ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll work alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents to bring complex commercial and industrial construction projects to life in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, trade partners, and clients
• Walk active job sites, identifying and resolving issues proactively
• Manage key documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and project logs
• Support project schedules, logistics, and financial tracking
• Promote safety and ensure compliance with industry regulations

Requirements

• Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn
• Comfortable working both in the office and on job sites
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• 0–3 years of experience in construction or engineering roles (preferred but not required)
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar tools (a plus)
• Interest or experience in commercial, industrial, or tenant improvement projects
• Pursuing or completed degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (helpful but not mandatory)

Pay

Southern California Pay Range: $85,000—$94,000 USD (dependent on experience, skill, and knowledge).
