Reports to: Project Manager • Location: Project Site

About the role

Works closely with Construction Manager, Superintendents, Owners, Estimators, Pre-Construction, Engineers, and Sub-Contractors on solar energy projects from initial notice to proceed through final acceptance by the client.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Manager during all phases of solar energy projects.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating department during pre-bid and buyout stages to address field-staff needs.
  • Solve problems and resolve issues through face-to-face and personal communication.
  • Plan, lead, and coordinate all project execution activities as if managing a personal business.
  • Participate in conceptual development, estimating, organization, scheduling, and implementation of projects.
  • Support project administration to ensure construction aligns with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Perform contract administration, schedule management, preparation of spreadsheets and reports, budget and cost tracking, financial analysis, investigation of non-conformance issues, implementation of corrective measures, risk management, safety, and quality control.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of technical, administrative, and management aspects of project management.
  • Basic knowledge of public and construction safety and security regulations.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and their application in problem-solving.
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply IFC drawings and job specifications for civil and electrical work.
  • Strong leadership, time management, coordination, active listening, verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and reasoning skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and independently.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Viewpoint, MS Project, and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • OSHA 10 Hour Minimum certification.
  • SWPPP Training.
