About the role
Full-time Mechanical Project Engineer position based in Houston, TX. Occasional travel for site visits is required. The role involves coordinating multi-discipline engineering and design activities in an office environment with sedentary physical demands.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-discipline engineering and design activities.
- Communicate with clients and third parties regarding project scope, status, and technical interface issues.
- Provide concise, factual project designs, allowing effective construction/installation.
- Work with other engineers, designers, construction QA/QC, and contractors.
- Check drawings and calculations.
- Visit client sites to evaluate the site, project requirements, and conditions.
Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 5 - 15 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- 2+ years of project engineer experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
- Attention to detail.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Professional Engineering license.
- Previous plant facilities experience.
- Previous experience in the oil & gas industry.
