About the Role
The Project Engineer directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within the assigned area of responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes and drafts equipment design changes or new designs as required for Camfil Washington/Greenville Products and general support for production personnel.
- Analyzes specifications and performance requirements to determine design and/or design changes needed to meet customer order requirements.
- Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations.
- Clarifies or resolves problems and develops design changes to increase product performance or production efficiency.
- Prepares all associated documents, detailed drawings/schematics for customers and manufacturing.
- Confers with other engineering/production personnel and prepares design modifications as required.
- Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Engineering.
- 2 years of related experience preferred.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD Design Software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Above-average reading comprehension, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Strong professional etiquette for customer interactions.
- Technical math skills required.
- Strong reasoning ability and an organized approach to working, task prioritization, and time management.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. The employee is required to sit and occasionally stand and walk, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
