Job Responsibilities
- Install, commission, test, and debug machine vision systems at customer facilities.
- Travel extensively to customer sites to support project implementation and commissioning activities.
- Execute assigned projects according to established schedules, milestones, and customer deadlines.
- Report directly to the assigned Project Manager for project execution while maintaining alignment with functional management.
- Serve as the primary on-site technical representative and liaison between the customer and the company.
- Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-focused attitude at all times.
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding project status, technical issues, and system performance.
- Provide detailed and timely project updates, technical reports, and issue documentation to Project Managers.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues related to machine vision, robotics, and automation equipment.
- Perform robot programming, troubleshooting, and optimization activities as required by project scope.
- Support basic PLC sequence troubleshooting and diagnostics without performing PLC programming.
- Verify system functionality and performance through testing, validation, and customer acceptance activities.
- Proactively identify technical challenges and implement corrective actions whenever possible before escalating issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and support teams to resolve technical problems efficiently.
- Document field changes, lessons learned, and recommendations for future improvements.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and safety standards.
- Support project completion activities and assist with customer training when required.
Qualifications
- To succeed, you will need Associate’s degree (Engineering, Technology, Automation) preferably with experience in vision systems, robot programming, logic controller, and/or tool making.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, Math, Physics) or equivalent education and experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, drawings, and project requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer-service mindset and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work as part of a team and work remotely in field.
