Job Responsibilities
- Aid in proper project planning and development of engineering means and methods.
- Create work packages and prepare production indicators/benchmarks.
- Develop the master schedule.
- Identify and educate on environmental compliance laws and permit requirements.
- Research and resolve design/drawing conflicts and errors.
- Verify quantity tracking data and measure productivity.
- Interpret production goals from work packages.
- Ensure daily communication of productivity goals is understood by crews.
- Track progress of major vendors and subcontractors.
- Maintain the project schedule.
- Generate and maintain various informational logs and correspondence with the project client/owner.
- Provide engineering input to the daily job log.
- Generate and maintain contract compliance listings, buyout logs, and procurement reports.
- Estimate and document costs of extra work and unanticipated activities.
- Establish and maintain a project change order log.
- Cover and approve submittals to the Owner/Engineer.
Qualifications
- Requires a four-year degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience in heavy infrastructure construction.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction including technology, equipment, methods: craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, estimating, schedules, and safety.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
- Willingness to travel is required.
