Project Engineer Advanced Development
Your Tasks
- Plans and implements engineering programs, activities, and milestones according to customer requirements.
- May develop and maintain a schedule and budget for assigned engineering projects.
- Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly.
- Controls expenditures within project budget limitations.
- Captures and delivers project deliverables including: internal and external samples, design documents for internal release and customer.
- Collaborates on bid package preparation and delivery regarding engineering (including Bill of Materials creation, product sizing, fit and form evaluation).
- Sets up and oversees project personnel for specific phases or aspects of the project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing.
- Reviews product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Coordinates activities concerning technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
- Directs integration of technical activities and products.
- Performs technical analysis of risks and errors (DFMEA), prepares proposals, and implements technical changes.
- Manages the DTM (Development Team Meeting) responsible for change control management.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three to four years of related experience and/or training in engineering within the automotive industry.
- Project management / PDP, Product Development, Product X knowledge, Engineering Materials, Tol. Stacks / GD&T, DFMEA creation and analysis, Technical Documentation, BOM creation and development, Engineering Change Mgt, Relating cost to product design, DFM / Assy Process Knowledge, Necessary IT Tools (SAP, IQRM, Communication, Networking, Decision Making, Time Management, Self-Motivation, Conflict Resolution, Problem-Solving, Ability to Influence, Resilience/Self-Confidence, Ability to Mentor).
