Project Director (US)
About the role
The Project Director role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace.
Responsibilities
- Manages projects across business units, regions or the enterprise; influences at all levels within the organization, often setting strategy and direction
- Coaches and mentors project team members; mentors other project managers around project management methodology
- Determines project scope; develops resource, risk, quality, cost, and scope management plans
- Develops training plans
- Defines, recommends and secures contractual agreements for services and products
- Captures, coordinates requirements, schedules implementation and post-implement plans, and develops service-level agreements for vendor partners and global resources firms
- Develops requirements documents; develops project approval matrix
- Identifies project team training and tool needs
- Defines quality gates for each project methodology phase; defines critical success factors; establishes and manages the project warranty period
Requirements
- Requires a BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 9 years professional project management experience, which at least 7 years are spent leading and directing large project tasks
- Any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
Qualifications
- Awareness of significant contributing factors to manage project change and demonstration of a solid understanding of end to end business processes and the critical IT dependencies
- Strong preference for Masters in Project Mgt
- Preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Medicare Risk Adjustment experience is preferred
- People leadership experience is preferred
Skills
- Preferred familiarity with significant contributing factors to manage project change and demonstration of a solid understanding of end to end business processes and the critical IT dependencies
