About the role
The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis invites applications for a Project Director on the Risk and Compliance Team. This role leads and conducts advanced analytic tasks for projects with multifunctional or broad organizational impact, supporting both Bank and Federal Reserve System initiatives. The position requires a regular on-site presence and does not sponsor employment visas.
Responsibilities
- Independently oversee large-scale, complex Bank and Federal Reserve System (FRS) projects with minimal supervision, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Work on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Lead Bank and System work groups and take on a leadership role in special projects and programs with significant business impact.
- Manage communications, facilitate meetings and conference calls, and coordinate work activities across teams.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of operational and internal policies, providing advanced application and operational expertise.
- Synthesize pertinent information gathered from business lines and present recommendations to management. May lead the implementation of solutions.
- Plan and prioritize objectives, initiatives, and resources to ensure deadlines and expectations are met.
- Prepare reports, proposals, strategic plans, and other documentation for senior management review in support of proposed solutions and recommendations.
- Analyze and evaluate business needs, assess risks and expected benefits, and recommend technical, procedural, and policy solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of six (6) years of operations, financial analysis, and project management experience.
- Strong foundation and depth of knowledge in risk and compliance, with preference for experience in the Federal Reserve System and familiarity with various business lines and operations.
- Current, strong project management experience is required.
- Experience communicating and presenting recommendations to senior management and collaborating with multiple levels of staff.
- Experience addressing risks and contingencies as part of planning and decision-making processes.
- Experience navigating ambiguity and managing relationships across multiple levels and departments.
- Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management certification.
Pay
Full salary range for this role: $110,200 – $137,775 – $165,300. The expected starting salary range is $110,200 – $137,775. Salary offers will be based on qualifications, experience, market data, position needs, total compensation package, and internal equity.
