About the role

The Project Director oversees projects from preconstruction to close-out, supporting business development and managing relationships with clients, contractors, and engineers. They are responsible for project profitability, risk management, and team building.

Responsibilities

  • Supports business development and broadens the customer base
  • Serves as the primary point of contact between the owner, architect, contractor, and Webcor team
  • Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Identifies and manages risks and opportunities
  • Leads pursuit strategies and develops proposals that align with the pursuit strategy
  • Builds a positive reputation both inside and outside of Webcor
  • Manages project-specific work teams and trains/mentors staff
  • Uses a corporate resource planning tool to manage resources on assigned projects
  • Enforces safety protocols and ensures compliance with Webcor’s safety policies

Requirements

  • Proven knowledge of the entire project lifecycle, preferably from initiation to closeout
  • Broad knowledge of cost control, budgeting, and accurate cost reporting
  • Advanced knowledge of estimating, including full estimating services, preconstruction, and value engineering
  • Ability to identify and manage risks professionally and document them
  • Familiarity with insurance and rates
  • Experience managing resources on assigned projects using a corporate resource planning tool
  • Working knowledge of various technical aspects of construction projects
  • Ability to assemble general contractors/general service providers independently
  • Experience leading preconstruction efforts, including client management and resource management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Typically 15 years of diversified construction experience
  • Five years of field management experience as a Sr. Project Manager or Sr. Superintendent
  • Strong background in infrastructure projects, particularly water and wastewater, transit, horizontal, electrical distribution systems, and substation projects
  • Self-performing experience preferred

Pay

The range of base pay is $210,000-$231,000. Actual pay is based on individual skill level and experience.
