About the role
Lexicon offers a unique combination of capabilities in construction management, fabrication, erection, mechanical installation, and plant maintenance for heavy industrial, commercial, and roadway projects, as well as a full spectrum of golf course construction and management services. The Project Director oversees the operational functions of Project Managers, Project Engineers, Project Services, and Project Controls Departments.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates daily work efforts for Project Managers, Project Engineers, Project Services, and Project Controls departments.
- Ensures proper flow of information to and from projects and that project deliverables are completed and turned over to the client per project schedule.
- Keeps adequate staffing per workload needs.
- Interfaces with upper management on business development and departmental matters.
- Ensures Project departments’ work performance efficiency by providing adequate and applicable tools.
- The ability to work overtime and maintain regular, punctual attendance is required.
- Performs non-essential duties as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent; BS degree in Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an engineering department or project management.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent written/oral communication, mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and AutoCAD.
- Ability to efficiently handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to sit and work directly on a computer for extended periods of time.
- Should be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- High-pressure work environment.
- Light travel may be required.
