Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
  • Teaching or administrative experience
  • Knowledge of K-12 public curriculum
  • Experience working with youth in an after-school setting
  • Understanding of youth development best practices
  • Experience with public funding records management
  • Ability to supervise and motivate students
  • Ability to enforce Boys & Girls Clubs rules and policies
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with safe driving record

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

About the Role

The Project Director coordinates the delivery of developmentally appropriate instruction programs as prescribed by 21st CCLC agreements. The Director is responsible to manage and lead 21st CCLC program staff including teachers, enhancement instructors and family service coordinators and provide direct services to actively participating 21st CCLC students.

The Director is responsible for working with the 21st CCLC Site Coordinators and assist with the supervision of the program assistants in each Club. This position provides instructional leadership to the project and manages daily activities at the sites, including staff and participant attendance management.

The incumbent will set the performance standards and actively work with 21st CCLC teachers and students to develop and maintain a highly effective learning environment.
