Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate pre-construction activities, ensuring projects meet budget, schedule, and scope requirements.
- Manage multiple school projects, resolving complex planning, design, and construction issues.
- Supervise and evaluate Assistant Facility Development Managers (AFDMs), Design Managers (DMs), and design professionals.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and overall progress, providing reports to key stakeholders.
- Support A/E contract administration and bid planning, review contract scopes, fees, and payment applications, and provide fiscal oversight for multiple projects.
- Collaborate with government and utility agencies to facilitate project approvals and completion.
- Support project compliance with applicable environmental and agency requirements, with preferred experience involving CEQA, LEED, CHPS, and major public-facility.
- Axordinate project activities with internal departments, including Environmental Health & Safety, Design & A/E Technical Support, and Facilities Contract Administration.
- Develop internal policies and procedures to improve project efficiency.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience managing capital project planning, design, and construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- PREFERRED: California Registered Architect, Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or LEED Accreditation.
