What You'll Do
- Design and plan energy projects, including solar, storage, and EV charging systems, in accordance with client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in project meetings and conduct site assessments to evaluate feasibility, determine optimal system configurations, and ensure successful project outcomes
- Develop detailed project proposals, including system layouts, equipment specifications, and cost estimates
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in energy system design
- Engage in regular communication with clients, vendors, Utilities, AHJs, and contractors to facilitate project execution; collaborate with Engineering and Constructions teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance
- Provide technical support during project implementation, including responding to design and engineering-related inquiries and addressing design modifications
- Perform energy simulations and analysis to optimize system performance and energy generation, document project design details, specifications, and changes for reference and future analysis
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in designing energy projects, preferably in the solar, storage, or EV charging industry
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other relevant design tools to create accurate and detailed drawings, with strong understanding of energy system components, electrical line diagrams, and construction plans
- Familiarity with energy modeling software and simulation tools
- Knowledge of national and local electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Creative thinking and a passion for sustainable energy solutions
