Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to a team of consultants and analysts, supporting the execution of projects within the Grid Modernization & Distribution Planning business line and adjacent service areas.
  • Work closely with managing directors and business line leads to ensure project excellence, staff development, and alignment with company goals and values.
  • Leadership & Team Development:
    • Provide leadership to the team; direct and coordinate work assignments and review performance to ensure efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff.
    • Recruit, develop, train, and retain high-performing staff.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, monthly one-on-ones, and provide clear instruction and guidance to direct reports.

    • Interpret and communicate organizational goals and policies to staff.
  • Project & Resource Management:
    • Provide expert-level technical guidance and support for consulting engagements in distribution planning and power systems analysis.
    • Support profitable growth by ensuring staff levels, loading, and assignments meet project requirements and billable targets.
    • Cook up workload for the team and communicate staffing needs to business line leads and managing directors.
    • Lead and support project QA/QC efforts.
    • Ensure compliance with company and safety policies.
  • Strategic & Operational Execution:
    • Implement and support firm-wide programs and initiatives; lead your team through organizational change.
    • Achieve stated financial targets and performance standards.
    • Collaborate with project managers, managing directors, and proposal teams to support business development and secure new work for the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or other related field and 5 years of related experience required.
  • Previous leadership and/or management experience is preferable.
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
