Project Delivery Leader, Alternative Delivery
About the role
As a senior member of our Firmwide development team, you will lead a variety of dynamic transportation pursuits, primarily focused on projects across RK&K’s current and new service areas. You will perform a wide range of transportation/highway planning and engineering tasks, including developing/analyzing alternative solutions, overseeing talented and professional staff, and leading highway planning and/or design projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead transportation planning and/or design projects in a dynamic, fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Mentor junior engineering and technician staff on transportation planning and/or design tasks
- Understand and apply Highway Design Standards, and other highway design manuals and guidelines to transportation projects
- Produce construction documents, specifications, and construction cost estimates
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work in a team environment
- Serve as Project/Program and Contractual Manager on a variety of transportation related projects
- Facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations, and approval of plans
- Direct project staff and sub-consultants
- Serve as liaison between client and firm
- Participate in Business Development and Marketing to secure future clients and workload
Requirements
BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
15+ years of experience in civil engineering design with a focus in transportation/highway engineering
Professional Engineering Registration (PE) or ability to obtain within six (6) months
Qualifications
- Expertise in Microstation / Geopak / InRoads/ Open Roads and/or AutoCAD / Civil 3D and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with federal, state, and local government projects
Skills
- Clear understanding of AASHTO and local state/municipal design criteria
- Coordination with clients, consultants, government agencies, and project staff

Schedule
The role can be remote with required travel as needed to the project location.
