About the role

The FinOps Coordinator I plays a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity of projects within Oracle and Sikich’s systems, maintaining structured data for accurate reporting and operational efficiency. This role is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining project details, overseeing billing processes, budget tracking, and revenue recognition while addressing discrepancies proactively. The Coordinator handles financial requests through a centralized ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and streamlined communication between departments. They support data integration efforts, refining reporting accuracy within Oracle to enhance visibility into project finances. Additionally, they analyze system workflows, implement improvements to optimize efficiency, and provide insights that drive operational enhancements. This position operates in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and communication expertise. The Coordinator must balance financial accuracy, system management, and process improvements to align projects with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Project & System Coordination:
    • Maintains structured project data within Oracle and Sikich’s platforms, ensuring accuracy across financial operations.
    • Oversees billing cycles, revenue processing, and financial adjustments, addressing discrepancies with proactive solutions.
    • Manages budget modifications and ensures alignment with financial reporting requirements.
    • Reviews and troubleshoots revenue recognition errors, ensuring compliance and financial accuracy.
    • Supports data integration efforts, refining financial tracking and reporting structures within Oracle.
    • Evaluates system workflows, implementing refinements to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Operational & Resource Management:
    • Processes and resolves financial requests submitted via the centralized ticketing system, tracking issues effectively.
    • Maintains resource allocations, ensuring accurate system updates when personnel changes occur.
    • Assists with financial initiatives and process improvements, contributing to operational success.
  • Collaboration with FinOps & PM Teams:
    • Works closely with FinOps team members to ensure financial accuracy across project data.
    • Manages billing oversight, revenue monitoring, and budget reconciliation, improving data flow efficiency.
    • Enhances financial reporting accuracy, refining integration points within Oracle.

Requirements

  • Educational & Professional Background:
    • Holds a Bachelor’s degree and/or two (2) years equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
    • Has expertise in Financial Operations, Sales Operations, or Project Management, supporting organizational goals.
    • Familiarity with Oracle ERP or cloud-based financial management systems.
    • Brings knowledge of Professional Services industry standards, supporting financial accuracy.
  • Technical & Analytical Expertise:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis tools, ensuring effective reporting.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities to detect and resolve revenue inconsistencies.
    • Ability to implement system improvements to optimize financial processes.
  • Communication & Organizational Skills:
    • Skilled in clear and effective communication, ensuring seamless coordination across departments.
    • Highly structured in prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines within financial operations.
    • Works well in team-driven environments, supporting collective efforts in financial and project oversight.

Pay

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the base compensation range for this role is $28.25 - $44.61 - $60.96. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on several factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. Compensation ranges for roles in our Government Services pillar are determined by contract with the specific government agency Sikich is servicing.
