About the role

At the direction of the Bureau Chief, this position will lead EMS and Trauma System education initiatives aimed at improving workforce training access and resiliency (related to COVID-19 recovery). The role participates in Bureau of EMS and Trauma System statutory and standing committee meetings and collaborates with Bureau program managers to ensure that access to education and training resources remains up-to-date and relevant.

The position identifies and maintains training and education resources on the Bureau’s website, disseminates information to stakeholders, and develops training program recognition criteria to promote best practices. It also works collaboratively with the Office of Continuous Improvement (OCI) on the agency’s crosscutting strategic plan priorities related to EMS and Trauma System.

Additionally, this position assists Program Managers and the Program Coordinator with developing and testing a new IT system for internal and external users, including requirements gathering, building an IT-Bureau roadmap, and conducting User Agreement Testing (UAT) to identify bugs and issues. Once developed, the role assists with implementation, develops training and standard work for users, and hosts training seminars to ensure competency.

The position communicates clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders during training seminars and committee meetings, fosters positive relationships with external stakeholder groups, and oversees the creation and improvement of training and education materials within the new IT system based on stakeholder feedback and reporting metrics. Findings and metrics related to training and education materials are presented to management to aid in strategic planning adjustments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead EMS and Trauma System education initiatives to improve workforce training access and resiliency (related to COVID-19 recovery).
  • Assist with developing, testing, implementing, and training for a new IT system to ensure competency and success for internal and external staff and stakeholders.
  • Participate in Bureau of EMS and Trauma System statutory and standing committee meetings and engage with external stakeholder groups to foster positive relationships and increase participation in recognition programs and training/education dissemination.
  • Work collaboratively with the Office of Continuous Improvement (OCI) on the agency’s crosscutting strategic plan priorities related to EMS and Trauma System.
  • Oversee and manage special projects for the Bureau as directed.
  • Identify and maintain training and education resources on the Bureau’s website, disseminate information to stakeholders, and develop training program recognition criteria.
  • Oversee the creation and improvement of training and education materials within the new IT system based on stakeholder feedback and reporting metrics.
  • Present findings and metrics related to training and education materials to management to aid in strategic planning efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or a related field with 4 years of project coordinator/project management experience.
  • Master’s degree in Public Health or a related field may substitute for 2 years of professional experience.
  • Valid driver’s license (required if driving is an essential function of the job).

Pay

$66,000 annually
